Arlington Heights, Knights of Columbus:
(ALL AGES...)
(ALL AGES...)
May 18th, 2007 - 6PM:
- MODERN LIFE IS WAR: Agressive act from here in the Midwest, sounds like a variation on Suicide File and Give Up the Ghost. Rip roaring through shit with songs like Clarity.
- DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR: These dudes are known for brutal shows, and they deliver a sweet live show. Never disappointing, DBD destroys.
- BROOKS STAUSE: Some douche bag on myspace says they're "rad," whatever the fuck that means. Google search didn't turn up anything. Either hella underground, or hella just-formed.
- ONCE FOR ALL: Hardcore from Wisconsin. Is that possible? Well, if it is, this band could potentially kick ass, since a lot of sweet bands come out of podunk fucking suburbs.
- IRON WILL: Members of Enforsaken are in this band. Fairly new shit.
May 24th, 2007 - 6PM:
- THE DIAL: These dudes rap, apparently. What the fuck?
- BENEATH THE GLASS: Uhh... The site they gave is some chick on myspace named Gloria standing at a concert wearing a skank-top. What's the deal?
- MIRROR MIRROR: Does not suck. Check out their stuff on the site.
- SENDER RECEIVER: Not your usual rich kids playing metal, 'cause it's rebellious. All DIY, dirty, scummy violent metal. Good shit, ladies and gentleman.
- LYE BY MISTAKE: If you're looking for metalcore and grinding brutal shit, you're in the wrong place. There's a lot of melodic thrash in this band, and the screaming is a nice bonus.
- A GRIM FATE: These kiddies are younger than most old thrashy core dudes, but if they fucking own, that's cool. If not, don't quote us on whether they're good or not.
May 25th, 2007 - 6PM:
- RINGWORM: Signed to Victory Records, Ringworm is promised to be the World's Most Destructive Hardcore Band. They better fucking rule, or someone's ass is getting beaten.
- BLOOD IN BLOOD OUT: Formed back in 2002, Blood In/Blood Out have accomplished creating an entirely DIY band from the ground up. That's impressive like you wouldn't believe.
- DEAD ON: Dead On has played with Hatebreed and Agnostic Front, and they only formed in 2004. If they can tear shit up with Hatebreed (and even if you hate them they still have good pits - minus the fucking knives people whip out), they can tear shit up at the KoC.
- FROM THE CHEST: Not a whole lot of information on this band. Apparently they're self-published, and have a bebo site, on which they have many groupies. Many meaning four.
- NO RISK NO REWARD: (featuring Luke from The Killer, members of Raining Bricks, Funeral March). Fucking Raining Bricks and The Killer have members all over the damn place. They better be good.
CLEARWATER THEATRE:
(ALL AGES...)
May 25th, 2007 - 7PM - $12 (advance), $14 (@door)
- BURY YOUR DEAD: BYD is badass. They have the breakdowns of a lifetime, they're heavy as balls, and they're just generally good. The ticket price may be a little higher than some of the rest of these shows, but it'll be worth it harder when you get your medical bill and brag to your idiot friends! BADASSS.
- SUICIDE SILENCE: They don't have a site, but they shred like a motherfucker.
- STICK TO YOUR GUNS: They spread a positive message. There's some crazy shit on their myspace page, in the videos. There's an entire fucking crowd of people onstage kicking ass.
- SINCE THE FLOOD: Signed band. They want you to know it.
